How to use the QR code generator

Wi-Fi QR codes

A Wi-Fi code lets guests join your network by pointing their phone camera at it, without typing the password. It’s handy for homes, offices, cafés and events. Most recent iPhone and Android phones can join a network this way straight from the camera app.

PNG or SVG?

  • PNG is an image that works everywhere: messages, documents and social media. Choose 1024 or 2048 pixels for printing.
  • SVG stays sharp at any size, so it’s the best choice for designers, signs and large prints.

Tips for printing

  • Keep the code dark on a light background. Light codes on dark backgrounds don’t scan on some phones.
  • Print it at least 2 × 2 cm, and larger if people will scan it from a distance.
  • Leave some blank space around the code.
  • Scan it with your own phone before you print many copies.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The link or text is stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working as long as the link it points to works.

Can I see how many people scanned my code?

No. These are static codes with no tracking. That also means nobody else can see who scanned them.

Can a QR code contain Arabic text?

Yes. Arabic text works, and modern phone cameras show it correctly.

Can I use the codes for my business?
